The Borders is a fabulous place to visit; steeped in history there is always plenty to see and visit.Based in Kelso you will be in the centre of the Borders and within striking distance of all the Border towns, the Northumberland coast and the world heritage sites of Hadrian’s Wall and Edinburgh. Arguably one of the prettiest Border towns, Kelso sits next to the River Tweed and is popular with fishermen. The streets of this busy market town are cobbled and there are many interesting shops to browse and plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy. During the summer Floors Castle is a major tourist attraction and there are many events held at Springwood Park, home to the Border Union Show. Kelso Racecourse is known as Britain’s Friendliest Racecourse and is a great days racing. |
